Steve 'The Homer' True Injured in Car Accident

Steve 'The Homer' True was seriously hurt in a car accident Wednesday morning when an allegedly intoxicated man ran a red light.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Steve "The Homer" True, the radio voice of Marquette University basketball and a WAUK-AM radio personality, was hurt in a car accident Wednesday morning and is being treated for a serious head injury.

According to a report posted at the website of WISN-TV (Channel 12), True was struck by another driver just before 10 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of Hampton and Fond du Lac avenues.

Milwaukee police told Channel 12 that True's car had the green light but was struck in the intersection when another car ran the red light.

The other driver, a 44-year-old man, is suspected of driving while impaired and was taken to an area hospital for a blood test. He was arrested, accused of intoxicated use of a motor vehicle causing great bodily harm.
