Some delicious history was made in Cedarburg on Saturday at the Strawberry Festival.
From ABC News Radio, via WGOW-AM:
A new world record was set Saturday for the largest scoop of ice cream.
The massive amount of strawberry ice cream was courtesy of Kemps Dairy outside of Milwaukee, Wisc., which was celebrating its 100th anniversary.
Philip Robertson with Guinness World Records, who was on hand to confirm the accomplishment, said the record-setting scoop started to melt on the scales, but was successfully weighed in at more than 3,010 pounds.
This scoop topped the previous record by 2,770 pounds.
