Greendale High School, Larissa Yankovich: French Class Leftist Propaganda

We have another teacher at a suburban Milwaukee Public High School pushing Leftist tripe on her students.

Mark Belling brought this story to his audience's attention on his radio program on Wednesday, after a student contacted him about a disturbing assignment. It's something Belling considers to be "way worse" than the Nathan Hale High School worksheet that made national news.

The student attends Greendale High School. He had an assignment requiring him to research five "facts." The student was told to come up with ways to deal with each of the five "facts," devising a plan to manage the problems.

The assignment is for a unit titled "conservation," although the student says it should be titled "global warming."

Here are the "facts" the student was told to address:

1. The United States is 5 percent of the world's population but consumes 24 percent of the world's resources.

2. Eighty percent of the world's forests have already been cut down.

3. Every American creates 4.3 pounds of waste every day.

4. Ninety-nine percent of the things we buy we stop using after six months.

5. In the United States, we throw away 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour.

The student pointed out that the "facts" are highly questionable. Many of the terms in the statements aren't defined, rendering the "facts" impossible to address. Furthermore, even if one assumes that the statements are factual, why should one assume they are problems in need of solutions?

Yes, this assignment is typical Leftist drivel, another attempt to indoctrinate students, pushing the Leftist mindset on them.

Another Leftist teacher is using her classroom as a forum for spreading Leftist ideology.

We've come to expect this sort of propaganda being taught as gospel in social studies or science classes.

The real outrageousness of this "conservation" unit lies in the fact that it's being taught in FRENCH class.

Students need to complete the assignment, addressing the five "facts," in the French language.

I understand the benefit of having students exhibit their ability to communicate in French.

What I don't understand is why the teacher, Larissa Yankovich, is using her French class to push an entire unit on global warming, including a vocabulary sheet with the French words for global warming, the ecology movement, renewable, recycle, etc.

Actually, I do understand why Yankovich is doing it.  She is proselytizing.

The student told Belling that this subject was not in his book. Yankovich went out of her way to include this material in her lessons.

So, Yankovich transformed her French class into an opportunity to teach the Leftist environmental agenda.

Out of line, isn't it?

At Greendale High School, students can't even escape Leftist political teaching in a foreign language class.

As with the Nathan Hale incident, I'm glad this was exposed.

Taxpayers have a right to know what their hard-earned dollars are funding.

Students at Greendale are being taught to be good Leftist soldiers-- in FRENCH class.

Just by quoting Mark Belling, I know not to take your blog seriously!
