The acting Attorney General Sally Yates was fired by President Trump after telling Justice Department lawyers not to make legal arguments defending President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration and refugees, according to sources familiar with the order.
Dana Boente was named the new acting attorney general following the announcement of Yates' termination. Boente was serving as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
