ABC abruptly cancelled the show. There was no big series finale, no celebratory send-off, the kind that's become typical when a popular show comes to an end. It was just over.

The cancellation is odd. This isn't the way long-running programs leave the network lineup.
Was politics involved?
I don't know.
I do know the meltdown of the Left is stunning.
