Memorial Day 2017

Pause today, say a prayer, fly the flag, and be grateful for the sacrifice fellow American men and women made for you.

"The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart...should swell into a mighty chorus of remembrance, gratitude and rededication on this solemn occasion."

---Abraham Lincoln

Yes, we should pause on Memorial Day and be grateful for the sacrifice fellow American men and women have made and continue to make for each of us. People like Ricky John Best, who served in the US Army for more than 20 years, and gave his life last week defending two girls from a tragic excuse for a human being heaping racist bile on them.

And yet you have nothing to say about this tragedy or these fellow Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice standing up to protect Muslims from abuse. At least not until today when you parroted a stupid jab at press coverage of the murder of two brave souls.

As usual, your silence speaks volumes.
