Frances Spade and Ariane Bourdain

Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain both committed suicide this week.

They chose to die. They reportedly hung themselves. Death was more desirable to them than staying alive. Their suffering must have been unbearable, but their earthly suffering is over.

The suffering of Frances Spade and Ariane Bourdain, their daughters, is just beginning. They are the real victims. They're left to cope.

Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain left their daughters to bear the pain of their deaths. It's heartbreaking. So much overwhelming pain.

Their children are so young, and they have such a heavy burden to carry. It will be with them for the rest of their lives.

Suicide claims so many more victims than the statistics show.
