Wisconsin Right to Life Day

It's Wisconsin Right to Life Day!

For 50 years our single focus has remained the same: saving lives.

Over 50 years ago, long before the U.S. Supreme Court made abortion-on-demand the law of the land through the1973 Roe v. Wade decision, a small group of concerned citizens came together to fight the growing menace of abortion.

50 years later, that small group of dedicated pro-lifers has become today's Wisconsin Right to Life. We are thousands of members strong and have been instrumental in saving over 174,000 lives. Through legislation, education, and political action, Wisconsin Right to Life's vision remains the same: to touch hearts and minds so all will value human life.

While Wisconsin Right to Life has had tremendous success, the work to protect the most vulnerable is far from over. Although the abortion rate in Wisconsin has dropped over 70% since it's all-time high in 1980, there are still 5,612 abortions each year in Wisconsin. We know that is 5,612 too many. Threats against the ill, the elderly, and those living with disabilities are growing. The culture of death continues to threaten those who, many times, cannot stand up for themselves.

While Wisconsin Right to Life has been successful, we know we cannot rest. We have many plans for the future -- plans to award more Emergency Grants so at-risk women can choose life, plans to provide financial and other assistance to pregnancy resource centers, plans to direct abortion-vulnerable women to the help they need, plans to educate our youth and counter the lies they're being told by Planned Parenthood and other abortion advocates, plus much, much more.

We cannot do this without your help!

Your gift to the Wisconsin Right to Life Education Fund is fully tax-deductible and can mean the difference between life and death for an unborn child or other vulnerable member of our society.

Won't you consider a gift of $10, $25, $50 or more to help us continue to protect the most vulnerable?

Wisconsin Right to Life has been successful for one reason: the support of generous pro-lifers like you. With your continued support, we will continue to build a culture of life. With your continued support, our future is bright.

Thank you for your generosity! And thank you for all you do on behalf of life.

Governor Scott Walker proclaimed September 9, 2018 Wisconsin Right to Life Day throughout the state, saying:

“WHEREAS, 50 years have elapsed since Wisconsin Right to Life was originally formed under the name Wisconsin Citizens Concerned for the Unborn on September 9, 1968; and WHEREAS, Wisconsin Right to Life has established itself as the preeminent right-to-life organization in Wisconsin and for the last 50 years has been saving lives by changing hearts and minds to favor life . . .
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Scott Walker, Governor of the State of Wisconsin, do hereby proclaim Sunday, September 9, 2018, as WISCONSIN RIGHT TO LIFE DAY throughout the State of Wisconsin, and I commend this observance to all of our citizens.”
