Fall of the Berlin Wall - 30 Years Ago

On June 12, 1987, President Ronald Reagan called on Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall.

Two years after Reagan delivered his speech at the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall did fall.

Here's the entire speech:

Twenty-nine years ago today, on November 9, 1989, it happened.

We won the Cold War.

We won.

Freedom.

The Berlin Wall crumbled.

The Soviet Union crumbled.

The Eastern Bloc crumbled.

That's what happened. We were right to declare victory because, oh, I don't know, maybe because WE WON.

Some people fantasize about the glory of a communist society. The Democrats of today eagerly embrace socialism and envision its tenets as the roadmap for transforming our country. It's truly sick. They are clueless. They and their supporters are either uninformed or in denial about the realities of socialist systems.

Thankfully, many Americans, and people around the world, don't share the Democrats' desire to subject individuals to a massive and oppressive centralized government. We believe in freedom.

As history has shown us, enemies of freedom eventually lose.

As we've seen since President Trump won the 2016 election, Leftists tend not to be good losers.

On this anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, we must remember that we have to keep fighting for our freedom.

We have to keep fighting the Democrats, the enemies of freedom.
