The Tragedy of Adam Toledo

I just put my boys down for the night kissed them & told them I loved them.

Adam Toledo was only 13. He is dead & his parents can no longer tell him that they love him.

This breaks my heart. Yet another family shattered by a life taken too soon; weary from an unyielding pain.

Chicago Police released the bodycam footage of the shooting of Adam Toledo, 13.

It is heartbreaking that Adam Toledo's "parents can no longer tell him that they love him." It's heartbreaking he can't tell his parents he loves them.
It's also heartbreaking that this 13-year-old kid had a gun and was running down an alley to flee police at 2:30 in the morning.
It seems to me that the shooting of Adam Toledo isn't what shattered his family. It seems like his family was pretty much shattered already, and so was he.
What happened to this 13-year-old boy's life is unspeakably tragic.
