SNL, Trump, and 'De-Banking'

SNL did a segment mocking Trump for using the word de-bank:

"Trump introduced an interesting new term: de-banking. I don't know what the hell de-bank even means."

"De-bank" is a word. It's possible that Saturday Night Live writers and performers are just sloppy and lazy and not too bright. It's also possible that some on the show know the term "de-bank," but they have no respect for their audience, thinking their viewers are too uniformed to realize the alleged joke is based on a completely false premise.
Whatever, it's funny that SNL is the joke, not Trump.
