Aaron Bushnell killed himself yesterday.
BREAKING - WARNING - GRAPHIC: 25-year-old Aaron Bushnell is the US Air Force member who set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC on Sunday afternoon to protest what he described as 'genocide' in Gaza, the bombing to death of thousands of children and women… pic.twitter.com/KVmYnT03NG

Aaron Bushnell's decision to set himself on fire was not a protest against the war in Gaza. He did nothing to impact Israel's response to the Hamas October 7 attacks which slaughtered and injured thousands and thousands of innocent Israelis. Bushnell committed suicide. It's heartbreaking that he chose to take his own life and stream his death online. There was nothing heroic about what Bushnell did. It's just terribly, terribly sad that he didn't get the help he needed.I’ve just received word that Aaron Bushnell succumbed to his injuries.
