Mitch McConnell Outraged by Trump's Conviction

These charges never should have been brought in the first place. I expect the conviction to be overturned on appeal.

Wow. What a thoughtful response and thorough analysis to Biden's weaponization of the justice system to take out his political opponent! Mitch McConnell is really upset. I've never seen him so angry.
He's clearly beside himself. He didn't make this statement until hours after the verdict was announced. He probably needed to compose himself before commenting.
McConnell was shamed into making a statement. I suppose he could have said less, but not much.
McConnell seems content with the destruction of the American legal system and the elimination of justice through the weaponization of the courts.
He should step down from leadership now.
