AP: Trump and Suburban Women

AP reporters Scott Bauer and Marc Levy created some news with a silly piece about suburban women and their disdain for President Trump.

Apparently, Bauer was hanging out at Brookfield Square, looking for someone to voice opposition to the president. He found an elderly woman from Waukesha County to say just he wanted to hear.

From AP, "Suburban women recoil as Trump dives into racial politics":

Carol Evans approves of Donald Trump’s immigration policy. She gives him credit for the strong economy. But the Republican from the affluent Milwaukee suburbs of Waukesha County, a GOP bedrock in the state, just can’t commit to voting for the president next year like she did in 2016.

“I just don’t like the way he talks about other people,” Evans, a 79-year-old retired data entry supervisor, said recently as she walked through a shopping mall in Brookfield, Wisconsin, days after Trump fired off a racist tweet at Democratic congresswomen.

The president’s recent return to racial politics may be aimed at rallying his base of white working-class voters across rural America. But the risks of the strategy are glaring in conversations with women like Evans.

"Racial politics"?

Yes, Trump criticized Cummings and understandably so. It wasn't racial. I know Bauer and the Leftist media are framing Trump's comments as racist, but that is a ruse.

Another ruse is the suggestion that white women in the suburbs are abandoning Trump.

Here in Wisconsin, I know a lot of suburban white women. They aren't recoiling at Trump's "racial politics." They're recoiling at the language employed by members of the Leftist media and Democrats like Elijah Cummings. They're recoiling at their distortions and lies.

Bauer needs to cover the rest of the story.

President Trump attacks when provoked. He attacks his critics. He fights back.

After Elijah Cummings told lies and treated Kevin McAleenan with such contempt, Trump fought back.

Cummings' race had nothing to do with Trump's remarks.

The Democrats/Leftists/Never Trumpers are claiming Trump's attacks on Cummings are racially motivated. That, of course, is ridiculous.

It's the same old narrative they've been peddling for years.

Frankly, it insults the intelligence of Americans of all races.

Baltimore, Elijah Cummings, and President Trump

Thanks to his tweets, President Trump is shining the spotlight on Baltimore's poverty, crime, and rat problems, as well as similar squalor in other American cities with Democrat leadership.

I don't understand why voters in these places continually elect members of the party that has failed them so miserably for DECADES.

There was nothing racist about the president calling out Elijah Cummings after he treated Kevin McAleenan so abusively.

Nonetheless, predictably, the Democrats/Leftists/Socialists/Never Trumpers claimed Trump's remarks were racist.

Acknowledging the horrible reality of areas of Baltimore and Cummings' failures isn't racist.

Trump is attacking Cummings because of his record for his constituents, not because of his race.

That's clear.

The Democrats/Leftists/Socialists/Never Trumpers look utterly, intellectually impotent when they resort to such baseless accusations.

They should address the problems of Baltimore's citizens, not pummel Trump for citing the unacceptability of conditions in Baltimore.
