Benghazi: Covering Up the Cover-up

Obama and his administration and the Obama media mouthpieces have no shame.

Rather than volunteering to come clean about the terrorist attack that occurred on 9/11/12 in Benghazi, resulting in the deaths of four Americans, they are digging deeper into the muck.

Obama and company aren't stopping with the disgraceful cover-up, their well-documented lies about the protest that never was, allegedly sparked by their oft-cited video.

Now, there are new lies, new talking points, to share with the American people.

The Obama Leftist Army is at war with anyone interested in getting truthful answers about what happened in Benghazi and what the Obama administration did to keep the truth from Americans.

If you want answers, they will call you "delusional" and a "conspiracy nutjob."

Sharyl Attkisson is right when she says there is a "well-orchestrated strategy" underway.

Former CBS investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson had some harsh words to share about the Obama administration and its supporters while she was a guest on Monday morning's Fox & Friends program.

After viewing some clips from Sunday's edition of ABC's This Week With George Stephanopoulos in which conservative pundit Laura Ingraham and Democratic analyst David Plouffe clashed over the death of four Americans in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, Attkisson said she believes that a concerted effort is taking place to divert investigations into that deadly attack, an effort that is being orchestrated by people close to the White House.

“Well, the key words they use, such as ‘conspiracy’ and ‘delusional,’ are in my opinion clearly designed to try to controversialize a story -- a legitimate news story and a legitimate area of journalistic inquiry,” Attkisson asserted.

“To some degree, that's been successful,” she added, “but I think primarily among those who don't want to look at this as a story in the first place.”

Jay Carney said on Monday that concern about Benghazi is a partisan thing, stressing that the White House may not cooperate with the "highly partisan exercise."

And yesterday, the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney announced that the White House did not use its surveillance of foreign governments for any economic purposes or any economic gain. Maybe it should have. We would have learned something about running an economy possibly. We wouldn't be in this mess. Why didn't we do that?

A lot of things are going on this country right now. This is really a time for self-examination for all Americans. We have to learn to examine ourselves. Do you know why? Because it doesn't look like we're going to get any decent health care. If you don't examine yourself, you're just screwed.

Despite the fact that for years President Obama has been saying that no one would lose their health care plan, now the White House has admitted, in fact, many, many people will lose their plan. But there is a way to keep the great coverage you have. Just become a member of Congress, then the taxpayers pay for the whole thing. Fantastic.

It's being reported that the president has known for three years that people would lose their coverage. The press is now saying the president lied. But today, the White House said that's not true, he did not lie. And they released this tape from three years ago to prove it. Here's what he said three years ago:

Obama Broken Promise: Americans WILL Lose Health Care Plans

Jay Carney said it on Monday.

He tried not to say it, but he admitted that some Americans would lose their health care plans.

"So it's true there are existing health care plans on the individual market that do not meet those minimum standards and therefore do not qualify for the Affordable Care Act."



WHAT?

Some Americans will lose their health care plans?

But Obama gave his word that NO ONE would lose their plans if they like them.

Obama said it again and again.

OBAMA: I know that there are millions of Americans who are content with their health care coverage. They like their plan and, most importantly, they value their relationship with their doctor. They trust you. And that means, no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away, no matter what.

"NO ONE WILL TAKE IT AWAY, NO MATTER WHAT."

Obama lied. He deceived the American people. Period.

Obama knew MILLIONS would lose their plans.

President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”

Obama Cancels Asia Trip

A couple days ago, Jay Carney insisted that Obama's scheduled trip to Asia would not be cancelled or postponed due to the government shutdown.

With a government shutdown just hours away on Monday, White House spokesman Jay Carney said President Obama still plans to go to Asia this weekend.

"We don't have any changes to announce. We plan to make this trip," Carney told reporters at the White House Monday. "The president, as president, looks forward to and believes it is important to travel to Asia in order to promote our economic interests in Asia and our strategic interests in Asia."

Well, Obama's handlers have since decided that a trip to Asia would not be appropriate at this time.

Flip flop, flip flop.

A White House statement issued late Thursday night said Obama, who already had cancelled two stops on the four-country tour, would instead stay in Washington to press for a budget bill.

It added he was determined “to continue pressing his case that Republicans should immediately allow a vote to reopen the government.”

Yeah, Obama can't be going to Asia right now and dissing America while overseas.

He needs to be here at home so he can keep bullying and taunting his fellow Americans.

He has to yap about the Tea Party holding the nation hostage and using other incendiary language.

Navy Yard Attack, Obama's Attack on Republicans

Shortly after Aaron Alexis committed mass murder at the Washington Navy Yard, Obama chose to carry out an attack of his own.

Rather than postpone his bitter partisan rant, just hours after the bloodshed, Obama decided to make a few perfunctory remarks about the killings before he tore into the Republicans.

Completely classless.

"I cannot remember a time when one faction of one party promises economic chaos if it can't get 100 percent of what it wants. That's never happened before. But that's what's happening right now," Obama said.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was later peppered with questions on the tone of the president's remarks. While Obama opened his address by calling the victims of the mass shooting "patriots" and vowing to get to the bottom of what happened, he quickly pivoted to his remarks about congressional Republicans.

Carney defended the president's remarks, saying that with Washington facing some looming deadlines, "Congress needs to act."

Syria Regime Change

Jay Carney insisted Obama is not considering regime change as an option in its response to Bashar Assad's use of chemical weapons against his own people.



Charles Krauthammer points out that it's pointless to attack Syria if the goal is not regime change.

This is a country that took down the Taliban in 100 days, took down Saddam in Iraq, who had been in power 30 years, took him down in three weeks. Jay Carney Identifies 'Phony Scandals'

CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller asked Jay Carney an important question the other day. Carney gave an answer that should have sent Obama running to the press to denounce Carney's comments.

MARK KNOLLER: Jay, in his speech again yesterday, President Obama mentioned the phony scandals that are part of an endless parade of distractions. Can you tell us what phony scandals he’s talking about?

JAY CARNEY: I think we all remember a few weeks ago when Washington was consumed with a variety of issues that, while in some cases significant, there was an effort underway to turn them into partisan scandals. I don’t think anybody here would doubt that. And what we’ve seen as time has passed and more facts have become known -- whether it’s about the attacks in Benghazi and the talking points, or revelations about conduct at the IRS -- that attempts to turn this into a scandal have failed.

The fact that Carney and his boss are attempting to define the IRS scandal and the Benghazi attack in partisan, political terms and "phony" reveals all one needs to know about Obama and his administration.

Disgraceful.

The administration's exploitation of the power of the U.S. government to abuse and harass political opponents is outrageous. There is no way it can be considered a "phony" scandal.

The administration's inadequate, ineffective, unacceptable response to the 9/11/12 terrorist attack in Benghazi, leaving four Americans dead, and its disgusting, orchestrated cover-up is a legitimate scandal.

In his press briefing yesterday, Jay Carney said the most ridiculous thing I've heard come out of his mouth. And he has spewed some truly unbelievable (false) stuff.

Obama is NOT a strong defender of the First Amendment.

Good grief. How could Carney even think he could attempt to sell that BS?

IRS Washington Office Targets Conservatives

So the Obama administration's IRS scandal doesn't just involve some "low-level workers" in Cincinnati.

What a shocker!

Internal Revenue Service officials in Washington and at least two other offices were involved with investigating conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, making clear that the effort reached well beyond the branch in Cincinnati that was initially blamed, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post.

IRS officials at the agency’s Washington headquarters sent queries to conservative groups asking about their donors and other aspects of their operations, while officials in the El Monte and Laguna Niguel offices in California sent similar questionnaires to tea-party-affiliated groups, the documents show.

IRS employees in Cincinnati told conservatives seeking the status of “social welfare” groups that a task force in Washington was overseeing their applications, according to interviews with the activists.

Lois G. Lerner, who oversees tax-exempt groups for the IRS, told reporters Friday that the “absolutely inappropriate” actions were undertaken by “front-line people” working in Cincinnati to target groups with “tea party,” “patriot” or “9/12” in their names.

In one instance, however, Ron Bell, an IRS employee, informed a lawyer representing a conservative group focused on voter fraud that the application was under review in Washington. On several other occasions, IRS officials in Washington and California sent conservative groups detailed questionnaires about their voter outreach and other activities, according to the documents.

“For the IRS to say it was some low-level group in Cincinnati is simply false,” said Cleta Mitchell, a partner in the law firm Foley & Lardner who sought to communicate with IRS headquarters about the delay in granting tax-exempt status to True the Vote.

...In a news conference Monday, President Obama said he learned of the investigating in media reports on Friday and has “no patience with it.”

“If in fact IRS personnel engaged in the kind of practices that have been reported on, and were intentionally targeting conservative groups, then that’s outrageous,” Obama said. “And there’s no place for it. And they have to be held fully accountable.”

White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters Monday that the White House counsel’s office learned of an upcoming IRS inspector general’s report on April 22 as part of a routine notification but had not received access to the report.

Obama is a horrible leader.

I'm sick of him playing ignorant and distancing himself from the abuses of his administration.

He feigns outrage and vows to get to the bottom of the matter, whether it's the Benghazi terrorist attack or the IRS targeting Tea Party and other conservative groups for harassment.

Obama acts as if his hands are clean. They aren't. Ignorance is no excuse.

Even when the facts are known, he lies as he did yesterday during his press conference with Prime Minister David Cameron.

OBAMA: Well, let me take the IRS situation first. I first learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this. I think it was on Friday. And this is pretty straightforward.

Obama is the president! He is a liar.

He should not be learning about his government abusing its power and harassing Americans from the same news reports we get.

Is he really so detached that he's clueless about something as egregious as using the IRS against political enemies?

Even Jay Carney isn't on the page as Obama.

Not "IF, IN FACT, IRS personnel engaged in the kind of practices that had been reported on and were intentionally targeting conservative groups" - we know with certainty that it happened. I guess Obama didn't listen very closely to those news reports we all heard last week.

And they have to be held fully accountable, because the IRS as an independent agency requires absolute integrity, and people have to have confidence that they're applying it in a non-partisan way -- applying the laws in a non-partisan way.

And you should feel that way regardless of party. I don't care whether you're a Democrat, independent or a Republican. At some point, there are going to be Republican administrations. At some point, there are going to be Democratic ones. Either way, you don't want the IRS ever being perceived to be biased and anything less than neutral in terms of how they operate. So this is something that I think people are properly concerned about.

I have no patience left when it comes to King Obama. I can no longer tolerate Obama drawing from his bottomless well of BS.

The guy is shredding the Constitution. It's happening on his watch. The buck stops with him, but he refuses to take responsibility.

I always thought Obama was most like Jimmy Carter, one of the worst presidents of the 20th century. Now, Obama's morphing into Richard Nixon in terms of abusing his power.

If he's impeached, Obama will be in Bill Clinton's league.

Obama thinks he can get away with anything. So far, because of his willing partners in the Leftist media and weak, wobbly Republicans, Obama has done exactly that.

I've had enough.

SNL: Benghazi Hearings (Video)

Saturday Night Live's cold open was about the Benghazi congressional hearings.

Did they slam Obama and Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration for lying to the American people and engaging in a cover-up?

Of course not.

At first, I thought maybe it was possible that the sketch would trash the mainstream media for failing to follow stories of importance. It could have gone that way. It could have been a commentary on Americans' obsession with goofy murder trials and lurid stories rather than something as significant as a 9/11 anniversary terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate, killing four Americans including the ambassador.

Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, that was not the direction it went. The target was the Republicans. The intent was to protect Obama and Hillary Clinton. The result was disgraceful and dishonest.

Republicans were mocked. Darrell Issa (Bill Hader) was a complete buffoon. FOX News was mocked. The hearing was depicted as purely a political stunt, with convicted murderer Jodi Arias as a witness.

Democrat Elijah Cummings (Kenan Thompson) was shown as reasonable, calling the hearings a witch hunt and suggesting the witness was chosen purely to boost ratings.

Trey Gowdy (Taran Killim) questioned Arias (Nasim Pedrad). When Arias, the expert witness, was asked when she first learned about Benghazi. She replied that she found out about it this morning. She asked if the attack was still going on. When told it happened eight months ago, she asked if they knew who did it. When told the terrorists responsible were identified, Arias asked why they were holding hearings.

The Republicans were dumbfounded, unable to answer, and told her that they asked the questions, not her.

Cummings complained about the political nature of the hearings, wondering if the Republicans would stoop so low as to ask the "guy from Cleveland who kept those women in his basement" to testify.

The next witness up WAS going to be Ariel Castro.

The sketch ended at that point with "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night."

SNL completely trashed the Republicans and left the Democrats untouched.

Cover-up? What cover-up?

Dead Americans? As Cummings said, "Death is a part of life." To quote Hillary, "What difference at this point does it make?"

None of the lies were mentioned at all. The many unanswered questions about the administration's response to the 9/11/12 terrorist attack, the order for the military to stand down, the talking points revisions, and the concocted story about the video were ignored. The amazingly awful press briefing by Jay Carney yesterday was left untouched.

I'm so sick of these distortions. The families of the dead deserve better than this, not this sort of treatment. They deserve respect. They deserve answers.

Greg Gutfeld, the 'Scandal Condom,' and Jay Carney (Video)

Friday on The Five, Greg Gutfeld declared that the Leftist media, Obama's "scandal condom," failed.

GREG GUTFELD: Dismissing a cover-up while having an off the record discussion or briefing about a cover-up is like denying you have a drinking problem by doing shots of tequila.

The scandal condom has burst and Carney got soaked. Twelve versions of talking points - that's not a memo, that's a Harlem Shake, more versions than you can count.

Jay Carney, actually, he used to be a reporter. The transformation from truth-seeker to a truth-hider is stunning. It makes a sex change look like a haircut.

And when you obsess over a memo that much, it's like Lady Macbeth washing her hands. It just tells you that there's something wrong and it's not going away.

You can question Gutfeld's imagery, but he's spot-on about the Obama administration and its handling of this major scandal.

"Out, damn'd spot! out, I say!"
