Obama: Pretending to be Moderate

From Sweetness and Light:

Did you know that Barack Obama had a “diary” at the Daily Kos?

But back in September of 2005 Mr. Obama was so concerned about the good opinion of the denizens there, he felt he had to write an apology about not having attacked those Democrats who voted for the nomination of John Roberts to the Supreme Court more forcibly.

Mind you, Obama himself did not vote for Roberts.

Still, he felt the need to explain how he and the Democrats in general need to pretend to be less radical than they really are if they are going to get enough people elected into power to really change things the way they and the folks at Daily Kos want to.

In other words, Mr. Obama tells the Kossacks about the need to hoodwink the American public in order to get their way.

Read Obama's September 30, 2005 diary entry, "Tone, Truth, and the Democratic Party."
Don't be fooled by Obama painting himself as a moderate. He's not a centrist.

He's a fringe Leftist.

By his own words, he aligns himself with the radical Left.

It looks like the American people are realizing the truth about Obama.

Kerry put on an orange hunting vest about this time in his campaign. Didn't work for him either.

I know a lot of the righter side of the Republican party didn't like McCain's moderate stance on some things, but he's not changed. It may serve him well come Tuesday.

It's funny that you mention that.

I was just saying that I regret that the polls weren't tighter than they are now sooner.

Had Obama been less confident in his lead we surely would have been treated to seeing him on a photo-op hunting trip.

Maybe we still will, but I suppose a judge allowing "the homeless" to list park benches as their addresses and similar fraud-friendly rulings are big confidence boosters.

A University of Texas poll to be released today shows Republican presidential candidate John McCain and GOP Sen. John Cornyn leading by comfortable margins in Texas, as expected. But the statewide survey of 550 registered voters has one very surprising finding: 23 percent of Texans are convinced that Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is a Muslim.

Or do they think he is a "muslin". That was a hilarious mistake. But whatever.... it should matter what religion a candidate is or if he/she even believes in a god. Sheesh!

Rachael Maddow was just remarking how moderate Obama is and that alot of liberal Democrats are disppointed he isn't more liberal. But they still vote for him of course.

Consider the source. It's Maddow.

as an undecided voter,

Uh...yeah, right. And I bet Obama actually did share his toys and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Has everyone received the lastest mail from the NRA? Obama claims he supports your second amendment right. If this is true why has he been endorsed by AHSA, the nations biggest gun ban group? Obama is aasking for your vote under false pretenses. He will say anything and agree with everyone and tell you what you want to hear to get into office. If dogs could vote he would promise a hydrant on every corner. People need to realize that he can not deliver on even a small fraction of his promises. He is going to give everyone something and lower your taxes. Who is going to pick up the tab? He lies about his record for a reason. His short time as a senator is the only experience he has, nearly all of his time he has been a senator he has not been there. He spent the whole time campaigning and counts this time as experience. Basically is whole time in office has been running around the country telling lies. I would not call this experience.

Anyone who thinks that Obama means it when he talks about protecting the rights of gun owners should think again.
