Hmmm. Why is "Isabel Melendez" handing out blank absentee ballots in Massachusetts?

I can't help but notice that there's an Isabel Melendez, who is a Democratic community activist who ran for mayor of Lawrence in 2001.

No one should be handing out blank absentee ballots in Massachusetts today.

The deadline has passed.

Due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday, the deadline to apply for absentee ballots for the January 19, 2010 special election for US Senate is 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 15.

What is Melendez doing?

Is she working alone?
