Some people aren't happy that Trump doubled down on Lewis. He was supposed to apologize to Lewis for calling him an illegitimate president, but he didn't.

Trump has learned that when he tweets, the media will cover his remarks.
By tweeting the truth about Lewis' inauguration attendance, the media were forced to acknowledge the Lewis-led boycott was nothing new.
I understand the opinion that it's not presidential to tweet. However, it is a way to reach millions of people without depending on the hostile press.
It works.
