It was a global story.
At the White House Easter Egg Roll, during the National Anthem, Melania Trump appears to give her husband a little nudge to put his hand over his heart.
OH MY GOD! Trump is unfit to be president!
Of course, the media were all over this. Twitter went nuts.
There wasn't the same sort of coverage when Obama failed to put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem while he was campaigning in Iowa in 2007. He just stood there.
Obama made plenty of missteps as president, some truly awful, but he was given a pass again and again.
With Trump, it's nonstop. Everything he does is criticized. The Internet amplifies all the constant criticism.
The dramatic contrast between the way Obama was treated and the way Trump is judged is very revealing.

Yes, it certainly is.
You wrote at length about how stupid Obama was for forgetting to put his hand over his heart, but have no concerns with Trump's failure. You repeatedly criticized Obama for playing golf, while not a single comment about Trump's many times playing golf in his first one hundred days. You criticized Obama for taking fancy vacations in Martha's Vineyard, but not a word about Trump's repeated Florida resort vacations. You criticized the $4 million cost of one of Obama's trips to Hawaii, but have nothing to say about the extraordinary cost of Trump's bi-weekly vacations to Mar-a-Lago (at roughly $3 million a pop). You found fault endlessly with Obama's use of a teleprompter, but apparently, when a Republican uses one, it is fine.
The dramatic contrast is certainly revealing. IT would seem that in the world according to Mary, everything Obama did was bad, and everything Trump does is good, even if he is doing exactly what Obama did.
I love the smell of Hypocrisy in the morning.
You completely miss the point.
I said, "Obama made plenty of missteps as president, some truly awful, but he was given a pass again and again.

Yes, I criticized Obama while the Leftist media establishment and the entertainment industry and the Leftist minions embarrassingly fawned over the guy, covering for him every step of the way.
With Trump, the criticism is overwhelming. It's loud and it never stops. That is clearly my point.
Have I written posts supporting Trump's golfing or weekend Florida trips? No.
It should be noted that Trump has met with world leaders at Mar-a-Lago, not exactly sucking an ice cream cone or romping in the waves in Hawaii. When it comes to the teleprompter, Obama was lost without it, a stuttering mess, putting his foot in his mouth. I have nothing against teleprompters per se.
I don't think everything Obama did was bad and clearly I don't think everything Trump does is good.
And I prefer the smell of napalm in the morning. (Not really.)
