The Daily Mail apologized to Melania Trump on Wednesday and agreed to pay damages to settle two lawsuits she had filed over an article last year asserting that the professional modeling agency she worked for in the 1990s had also been an escort service.

“We accept that these allegations about Mrs. Trump are not true and we retract and withdraw them,” a lawyer for the British newspaper told a judge, Andrew Nicol, at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. “We apologize to Mrs. Trump for any distress that our publication caused her. To settle Mrs. Trump’s two lawsuits against us, we have agreed to pay her damages and costs.”

The terms of the settlement were not immediately disclosed. She had sought compensatory and punitive damages of at least $150 million, according to the filing.

This is a victory for the First Lady.

However, in reporting the apology and settlement, the New York Times takes swipes at Melania Trump, President Trump, Donald, Jr., and Eric Trump in the middle of the article.

On Jan. 20, the day Mr. Trump was sworn in as president, the White House altered its online biography of Mrs. Trump, after complaints that the original wording had promoted her line of jewelry.

Mr. Trump has faced criticism that his business dealings around the world have created conflicts of interest in his official role, and he has put his adult sons in charge of his holdings rather than sell them or put them into a blind trust.

What a sleazy move!

Rather than simply reporting the unequivocal win for Melania Trump, the nation's First Lady, the Leftists refuse to control themselves. They take digs.

They look cheap.
