Ten years ago, Red Eye brightened the late, late night TV landscape.
It ended on Friday. The show's cancellation was incredibly abrupt. In an era of year-long retirement goodbyes (Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jon Stewart) and endlessly hyped final seasons of long-running shows, this was a sort of cruel move by FOX News. It's as if they didn't want to deal with the response from Red Eye fans.
I guess it's fitting. The show came out of nowhere and it leaves the same way.

thanks for @RedEyeFNC fans everywhere for appreciating the most honest, strangest show on tv. If you got the show, then you were one of us.
