A 100-year-old Navy veteran of World War II who was carried to his seat ahead of President Donald Trump's speech Wednesday evening at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum Wednesday evening received a signed campaign hat at the start of the president's speech, and praise from Trump himself.What a great moment!
“I don’t know if he knows it but he’s, right now, the hottest celebrity in the world," Trump said. "He might even be hotter than Trump right now, I have to say."
Videos shared on Twitter and later retweeted by the presidentshowed two men carrying the man downstairs on the side of the venue and then across the floor.
The man's name is Ervin Julian, according to a tweet from Tim Murtaugh, the communication director for Trump's reelection campaign.
