It was the age of Jimmy Carter, "Malaise," and the Iranian Hostage Crisis.
And then there was this:
On February 22, 1980, the United States Olympic hockey team pulled off one of the greatest upsets in sports history, defeating the Soviet Union, 4-3.
Patriotism, flag-waving, and basically being proud to be an American, made a comeback 40 years ago today.
We need another miracle.
