Seven COVID-19 cases appear to be linked to Wisconsin election, Milwaukee health commissioner says https://t.co/S8Rgnia1HU

From TMJ4:
Early data suggests some new COVID-19 cases are linked to those who voted in the Wisconsin election on April 7.Of course, we must always follow the science.
Milwaukee Health Commissioner Jeanette Kowalik said it appears seven people contracted COVID-19 through election-related activities. That includes showing up to vote at one of the five polling places in the City of Milwaukee, or they worked at one of the polling sites.
Officials are expected to learn more information on the link between in-person voting and COVID-19 cases by the end of this week.
Kowalik says they only have 30% of the data when it comes to new COVID-19 cases as it relates to Election Day.
These seven cases are linked to a polling place in Milwaukee.
YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING!
Are we to believe that these seven people had no other contacts with anyone or anyplace other than the polling place during the virus incubation period?
This is absolutely idiotic. Complete lunacy.
The outbreak of the virus is greatest in Milwaukee.
There is no way officials can determine that those seven people contracted the virus due to "election-related activities."
Just because seven people tested positive for the virus and also said they went to the polling place does not mean that was where they were infected. There is no way to be certain of that unless the individuals were living in a bubble, dropped at the polling place, and then returned to the bubble with no other outside contact of any kind.
Of course, this story was guaranteed to happen even though it completely flies in the face of science.
According to the IHME model, it's been 17 days since the peak in daily deaths in Wisconsin and 11 days since peak resource use.
We did mitigation and we "flattened the curve." The point of the extreme measure of Tony Evers' lockdown of the entire state was to do exactly that, preventing serious strain on the hospital system. Although Evers caused the economy in Wisconsin to collapse, resulting in massive unemployment and the dangerous lack of medical care not related to the coronavirus, we kept the hospital system from collapsing.
Those are facts, not guesses.

Excellent reporting, Mary! Keep up the good work.
I remind your readers that as of April 20, 230 Wisconsinites have died from/with Covid-19. That's 0.0039% of the population of the state.
Moreover, the model you posted projects that by August 4th, 340 Wisconsinites will have died from/with Covid-19. That's 0.0058% of the population of the state.
Yet, despite these absurdly low (and virtually normal death rates when compared to the seasonal flu), Phony Tony Evers will keep the state on lockdown through May 26th!
Why???
