I yield to no one in admiration of Dr. Fauci. But this comment from January 21 should be kept in mind by those accusing anyone in the U.S. of failing to act in time against Covid 19. Watch it all the way through: pic.twitter.com/wCBHT1wfdr

That's disturbing.
Dr. Fauci didn't get the severity of the illness. He completely missed the threat.
Remember, Fauci is not infallible.
Also, let's remember, Dr. Fauci has emphatically stated that President Trump follows the science.
President Trump follows the science

If Dr Fauci says scientifically we should do this, the President has never disagreed
If Dr. Fauci says scientifically we should not do this,
the president has never done it anyway

"Science" is not a "thing" or a person that a President can consult or "follow." Public policy cannot be discovered by Dr. Fauci in a lab coat peering through an electron microscope. Fauci may have a strong opinion about public policy but it is, nevertheless, only his opinion. So far, following his opinion has resulted in a nationwide panic, countless business bankruptcies, massive unemployment and untold economic and personal hardship...with more to come. It's clear to me that Pres. Trump should not have followed Fauci's advice to extend this misery. Instead, he should have followed his instincts to put an end to this national disaster on Easter Sunday.
