Florida, COVID-19, and Hospitals

We continue to monitor hospital bed availability & Florida is in good shape - statewide nearly 24% of hospital beds and just under 20% of ICU beds are available.

It's good to hear Governor DeSantis say that Florida is in good shape in terms of hospital beds and ICU beds.

I had to go to Twitter and search to find this information. It would be nice if the facts were reported by the media, but that's too much to ask.

A more immediate concern than bed availability is ensuring hospitals have the medical personnel to staff the beds. @FLSERT is in the process of deploying 1,400 nurses to hospitals throughout the state.

DeSantis seems to be doing a terrific job managing Florida's response to the outbreak, addressing issues and finding solutions.
