"Progressophobia" sounds like a fear of canned soup, but Maher makes some good points.
The country is not more racist, sexist, or homophobic than ever before. It's not as racist, sexist, or homophobic as it ever was. Progress has been made.
It could be that Democrats/Leftists are ignorant of American history. It could be that they're in denial, that they don't want to admit the truth.
In any case, they do themselves no favors by distorting reality. The Marxist nature of their agenda just becomes more evident.
