Conspiracy theories are rampant.
They could all be dispelled by Hamlin doing a quick interview, mocking the conspiracy theorists as quacks. He could simply post a brief video on social media.
It is very strange that cameras Sunday zoomed in on the faces of his mom and little brother but we never saw Hamlin's face. It's strange that he kept his hood up even while in the luxury box. You'd think he'd want to show his face. You'd think the NFL would want images of his face to be clearly discernible.
I suppose even if we did have images of Hamlin's face conspiracy theorists would come up with a way to twist those into fakes.
When government and media credibility is lost, it's lost. Trust is a delicate thing.
I hope this wasn't all a staged fraud. I hope Hamlin is doing well.
