Anthony McRae

Michigan elected officials and university officials are extremely angry at guns and their legal owners for the gun violence carried out by Anthony McRae.

Their anger, once again, is misdirected.

In the time this Rep posted "fuck your prayers, pass more gun control" we now know the shooter:

Was arrested for carrying a pistol without a permit in 2019

Prosecutors dismissed the felony charge

Pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor

The people who want to take away guns from law-abiding citizens are the same people who support soft-on-crime policies and want charges dismissed and offenders released.
Anthony McRae disregarded gun laws and authorities failed to hold him accountable. McRae committed murder because he didn't follow the laws in place to stop him. If one is going to break the law and murder, one is not going to abide by gun laws.
Blaming inanimate objects is not the answer to ending gun violence.
Blame rests with killer Anthony McRae and a system that fails to hold criminals accountable.
