Atlanta Northside Hospital Shooting

From USA Today:
Numerous law enforcement agencies searched Wednesday for a 24-year-old man suspected of fatally shooting one woman and injuring four others inside a waiting room at a hospital in Atlanta before carjacking a vehicle and fleeing the scene, police said.

The Atlanta Police Department identified the suspect as Deion Patterson and shared five photos of the alleged shooter, four of them surveillance images from the scene.
From WSB-TV:
Atlanta police said at least one person is dead and at least four people have been injured in an active shooter situation on West Peachtree Street Wednesday afternoon.

Three of the victims have critical injuries. It’s unclear if all four people who were injured sustained gunshot wounds.

The shooter is still on the loose. He’s been identified by police as Deion Patterson, 24.

Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum confirmed that all five victims are women aged 25, 39, 39, 56 and 71. One of the 39-year-old women died from her injuries.
From the New York Post:
The mother of the alleged gunman wanted for killing one person and injuring at least four others inside an Atlanta hospital says her son opened fire after he received “messed up medication.”

Minyone Patterson – who is cooperating with police as they search for her son, Deion Patterson, 24 – appeared to blame his medication regimen for the shooting at Northside Hospital Medical Midtown Wednesday.

“The damn VA gave him some messed up medication, and all he wanted was an Ativan,” Minyone told The Daily Beast, referring to the medication used to treat seizure disorders such as epilepsy.
Blame the VA. The murderer is a victim.

A 39-year-old woman is dead, but the killer is the victim.
