This is what an insurrection looks like.
No January 6 protesters were going to overthrow the U.S. government. Democracy did not hang in the balance that afternoon.
There was no military coup attempted on January 6, 2021. The violence and rioting that day, while completely unacceptable, was never a threat to the functioning and control of our government.
