9/11 and J6 Capitol Breach

Thousands of innocent people were murdered on September 11, 2001. The terrorists carried out orchestrated plans to kill Americans. They wanted the attacks to paralyze us with fear. Thousands of innocent Americans died years later as a result of illnesses related to the attacks. The death toll of the 9/11 attacks continues to mount.
The 9/11 attacks were so horrific and so deadly that we went to war. We fought in Afghanistan for 20 years as a response to 9/11. More precious American lives were lost in that war.
On January 6, 2021, one unarmed woman, an Air Force veteran, was shot and killed in cold blood by Capitol police lieutanant Mike Byrd. There was one death, Ashli Babbitt.
The Capitol breach looked like a tour, not an insurrection. It was not an insurrection. There was no organized attempt to overthrow the U.S. government. Yes, there was rioting resulting in property damage and injuries. It was awful, but it's absurd to equate the 9/11 attacks and the Capitol breach.
