Missing F-35 Could Still Be Airborne

US military officials are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II stealth fighter in South Carolina.

A spokesperson for the base, Jeremy Huggins, told media outlets that the jet was left in autopilot mode.

If the plane was left in autopilot mode and it's still airborne, it should be easy to locate.
