Corey Comperatore R.I.P.

Meet Corey Comperatore.

Corey was the victim of the horrific attack at yesterday’s Trump rally.

He died a hero, shielding his wife and daughter from gunshots and took a bullet for them.

Rest in peace.

Comperatore's last act on this planet was shielding his daughter from the bullets.

We lost a fellow Pennsylvanian last night: Corey Comperatore.

Earlier today, I spoke to his wife and his two daughters. They asked me to share that Corey died a hero — diving on his family to protect them from danger.

Corey Comperatore was the best of America, a man who loved God, his family, and his country.
He served his fellow citizens as a firefighter and former fire chief for Buffalo Township. He died a hero.

Comperatore’s sister, Dawn Comperatore Schafer, wrote in a post shared to Facebook that her brother died as he shielded his daughter as the shooter fired on Trump.
“The hatred for one man took the life of the one man we loved the most. He was a hero that shielded his daughters,” she wrote, the New York Post confirmed. “His wife and girls just lived through the unthinkable and unimaginable,” she said.

The statements from Corey Comperatore's family members are heartbreaking. I join millions of Americans in prayer for them as they grieve the loss of their beloved son, brother, husband, and father.
