'Knucklehead' Tim Walz and His Tiananmen Square Lie

Tim Walz is asked about his claim that he was in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre.

Tim Walz really handled this question so poorly.

TIM WALZ: Look, I grew up in small, rural Nebraska, a town of 400, town that you rode your bike with your buddies till the streetlights come on and I'm proud of that service.

This is an absolute idiotic response. It's akin to Kamala Harris answering every question with "I grew up a middle class kid."
Tim Walz riding his bike till the streetlights came on has NOTHING to do with Tiananmen Square and his lie about being in Hong Kong during the massacre.
Also, I have never heard anyone refer to riding bikes with friends by saying "I'm proud of that service."
That's hilarious.
Walz is a knucklehead and a liar, according to the New York Times.

JUST IN: Tim Walz turns into a stumbling mess, calls himself a 'knucklehead' after he was confronted about the lie that he was in Hong Kong in 1989 during Tiananmen.

In 2014, Timothy Walz claimed during a Congressional hearing that he was in Hong Kong in 1989 during Tiananmen Square.

Local news reports from the time, however, show that Walz was actually back home in Nebraska.
