Closing the Department of Education doesn't mean the education of America's children isn't a priority of this administration. American taxpayers have been getting screwed while the education of America's children has fallen victim to a pack of grifters.
This move is good for everyone, except the beneficiaries of government waste, fraud, and abuse.
