Anderson Cooper Misgenders Person at CNN Town Hall

NEW: CNN’s Anderson Cooper gets corrected after misgendering a civil rights attorney at a town hall event with Bernie Sanders.

Wow, what a bigot.

Cooper: I want to introduce Grace Thomas. She's a local civil rights attorney. She's a Democrat.

This person is a "they/them."
So, is Grace Thomas a woman? A man? Grace is a they/them? "They" and "them" are pronouns that refer to a group of people, animals, or things.
Grace Thomas corrected Anderson Cooper for using "she."

ANDERSON COOPER: I want to introduce Grace Thomas. She's a local civil rights attorney. She's a Democrat. Grace?

Big mistake. Very awkward. Probably bigoted. In some places, criminal.
Cooper should have said: "I want to introduce Grace Thomas. They is a local civil rights attorney. They is a Democrat. Grace?"
That's bad English. Of course, it can be considered offensive to label that as "bad."
It might be easier to do away with pronouns altogether.
