Apparently, the NHL game was played in St. Paul, not Minneapolis. Still, was the rioting in Minneapolis so dangerous that the NBA game couldn't be played? Did officials believe the rioters made it unsafe for fans to attend? It appears the anti-ICE rioters have taken over. Perhaps it was a mistake for Tim Walz and Jacob Frey to encourage violence against law enforcement. If they have permitted Minneapolis to become such a hellhole of lawlessness that a basketball game couldn't be safely played, the NBA should consider removing the Timberwolves from Minneapolis. The NBA canceled its game in Minneapolis today because the league felt it wasn’t safe to play. The NHL is currently playing in Minneapolis and had zero issues with playing its game. The NBA’s decision was 100% political. Good for the NHL on playing.
