New Conservative Weapon Against Colleges: Plagiarism

Absolutely nuts!

Claudine Gay is a thief, not a victim.

She's also an anti-Semite.

CNN's Matt Egan Defends Claudine Gay

With all due respect, Matt Egan is pathetic. Trying to defend the indefensible is futile.

Harvard President Claudine Gay Resigns

Claudine Gay is a plagiarist. She's an anti-Semite. She's a race-baiter. Finally, she's a former Harvard president.

Gay is still a member of Harvard's faculty.

Disgraceful.

SNL's Elise Stefanik Cold Open - Epic Fail

This sketch was stunningly awful. Given Saturday Night Live's record of peddling humorless trash, that is saying a lot. I was surprised at how terrible it was. Turning Elise Stefanik into the target of ridicule was disgusting. Not as disgusting as the actual testimony of the university presidents, but really, really disgusting.

From the New York Post:
Former “Saturday Night Live” star Cecily Strong backed out of playing Rep. Elise Stefanik on the show this past weekend because she was “uncomfortable” with the heavily criticized cold-open sketch, sources confirm to The Post.

Strong, 39, appeared as a guest in the dress rehearsal ahead of the live show, then changed her mind “last minute” about playing Stefanik in the sketch, which mocked last week’s congressional hearings on antisemitism on college campuses. Newcomer Chloe Troast replaced Strong on air.

...A TV source told The Post: “Cecily was uncomfortable with the sketch.”
I don't know if Cecily Strong would have done a better job of portraying Elise Stefanik, but Chloe Troast was terrible.

Strong made a good decision to back out at the last minute, though I doubt it was because she found the sketch unfair to Stefanik and tone-deaf in terms of the Left's anti-Semitism problem. She probably realized the sketch was an salvageable mess in the dress rehearsal and the audience didn't find it funny.

Troast's horrific performance certainly added to the utter disgrace of the sketch.

This SNL cold open was among the worst of its 49 seasons.

Claudine Gay - Plagiarist
