I can still hear Fauci saying, back in March 2020, that we needed to keep our medical system from being overrun with COVID cases. He said lockdowns weren't intended to alter how many people eventually got the virus, but they would flatten the curve, preventing too many people to care for from becoming sick all at once and crushing hospitals.

Now, we have vaccines and treatments. We understand COVID-19 much better than shortly after China first infected the world and covered it up.
