I am deeply concerned by reports that Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered Flávio Bolsonaro to surrender his passports following Brazil’s presidential election. Allegations of election irregularities, including changes to voting hours, raise serious questions that demand transparency and independent scrutiny. The Brazilian people deserve confidence in their elections, the right to challenge results, and protection from political retaliation. The United States must stand for free and fair elections, due process, and fundamental freedoms. The concerns surrounding Brazil warrant serious scrutiny, particularly given what we have witnessed in Venezuela.

Flávio Bolsonaro has left Brazil for the U.S. after Lula’s police force and tyrant Supreme Court Justice ordered the seizure of his passport. He was likely going to face arrest if he stayed. They came after his father and sentenced him to 27 years, issued an arrest warrant for his brother Eduardo, and now they are coming after him for attempting to unseat Lula. This is what happens is Communist countries. If you oppose the regime, they lash out and do everything they can to silence you in order to cling to power. There are dark days ahead for Brazil. The election should have been annulled.
