Days of Rage

Does a call for a "Day of Rage" sound like the Palestinians want to talk?

Does it sound like they want peace?

From The Jerusalem Post:

Palestinians are calling for a general strike in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip to protest US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's visit to the region scheduled for later this week, accusing Washington of backing Israel's military campaigns against Hamas and Hizbullah.

Leaflets distributed in the West Bank and Gaza by representatives of several Palestinian factions called for a "day of rage" [a euphemism for violent protests] against Rice's visit. The groups also called on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to refrain from meeting with Rice.

"We reject Rice's visit to the Middle East and we will expose its real goals," read the leaflets, signed by the National and Islamic Forces in Palestine. "This visit comes in the wake of Israel's US-backed comprehensive aggression against the Palestinians and Lebanese."

The factions accused Israel of waging a war of "genocide" against the Palestinians and Lebanese after receiving a green light from the US administration. They also strongly condemned the US for vetoing a United Nations Security Council resolution that would have condemned Israel for its offensive operations in Lebanon and the Palestinian territories.

The Popular Resistance Committees, an alliance of armed organizations, including Hamas and Fatah, called on Abbas to boycott Rice, saying she was planning to hold separate talks about the situations in Lebanon and in the Palestinian territories.

In a statement issued in the Gaza Strip, the committees claimed that Rice was "plotting" behind the scenes "to isolate Lebanon from Palestine."

...Osama al-Mazini, a Hamas political leader, said Rice's visit was designed to help Israel following its "defeat" in the PA territories and Lebanon.

"The Americans are 120 percent biased in favor of Israel," he said. "That's why Rice is coming to save Israel from defeat and humiliation. The US always intervenes when Israel is in trouble."

Islamic Jihad leader Khaled al-Batsh said the main purpose behind Rice's visit was to ensure the continued support of certain Arab governments for the US. "She's also coming here to provide Israel with political and moral support after the severe blows it suffered at the hands of Hizbullah in Lebanon," he said.

Incompetents, like Madeleine Albright and members of the White House press corps, have been demanding that Condoleezza Rice go to the Middle East.

Dems have criticized the White House incessantly for not sending a representative to the region.

Well, Rice went. She's there. All better?

Of course not.

Islamic radicals, regardless of nationality, hate the United States because we support Israel.

Why do we support Israel?

IT'S A DEMOCRACY.

Let's be honest. The Islamofascists' definition of peace is NO ISRAEL.

Demands for a ceasefire are really demands for Israel to stop defending itself, so they can continue on their sworn plan to realize a Middle East with NO ISRAEL.

No treaty, no agreement, no accord -- nothing will make a difference.

The Islamic radicals and nutjobs like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad want nothing less than NO ISRAEL.

That's nothing new. It certainly isn't the result of the Bush administration policies. Political opportunists, like Russ Feingold, say otherwise.

Feingold, and those of his ilk, are more concerned with bashing Bush than historical accuracy. This war has been going on for decades.

Meanwhile, the anti-Israeli propaganda in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States continues unabated.

In the U.S., most of the "blame Israel" criticism comes from the same crowd that is first to "blame America" -- the radical hard Left.

These people are terrorist sympathizers. They align themselves with Hamas and Hezbollah. They take the side of Ahmadinejad.

Read some of the
latest ramblings from the Iranian president.

And around the world, people are making Israel out to be the bad guys.

I don't understand them.

You really don't understand how anybody can have a problem with what Israel is doing? Well, here are some pictures and stories for you that might clue you in:

None of your links work.

I assume, looking at the URLs -- NPR, BBC, Guardian -- that they are bloody images of Palestinians or Lebanese or both.

It's awful when innocents are caught in the crossfire. Just as awful as strapping a bomb on a child and sending him to an Israeli market or on a bus to blow himself up and kill as many innocents as possible.

The lib media are one-sided, incredibly biased in the images that they choose to publish.

Have any Israelis been killed or wounded in this latest conflict?

Any Israeli homes destroyed?

Any Hezbollah missile strikes at Israel?

Looking at the lib media, you wouldn't think so. At least the BBC finally fessed up and admitted that many of the Lebanese "victims" are actually terrorists and not innocent civilians.

Hezbollah intentionally stores munitions and places arms in neighborhoods.

In terms of much of the bloodshed, the buck stops with Hezbollah.

Israel wouldn't be doing anything if their Arab neighbors allowed them to live in peace.

You're absolutely right, Pero.

Every day is a day of rage for Islamofascists. It's almost funny that a day of rage was designated, given the constant rage and violence among these militants.
