Russ Feingold won't be spending the month of August just relaxing.
He'll be barnstorming Wisconsin. He plans to visit twelve counties, working on upholding his pledge to conduct listening sessions in all 72 Wisconsin counties.
Feingold's August Listening Sessions itinerary:
Sawyer and Washburn Counties on August 7.
Dunn and Buffalo Counties on August 8.
Price and Rusk Counties on August 10.
After holding those six sessions, each of which "will last up to an hour," Feingold takes some time off to recover from the rigors of all that heavy listening.
Imagine. Between August 7 and August 10, he'll spend "up to" six hours listening to constituents. Whew!
Then, Feingold returns to his brutal schedule, hitting six more counties the following week.
Marinette and Florence Counties on August 14.
Forest and Iron Counties on August 15.
Ashland and Bayfield Counties on August 16.
Again, Feingold may be listening for "up to" six hours in the six counties.
How does he do it?
Between August 7 and August 16, in the span of just ten days, Feingold could tally up a grand total of twelve hours listening to his constituents.
Amazing.
I bet that's almost as much time as Feingold will put into blogging on Daily Kos.
It must be tough to fit so much listening into his schedule. There just aren't enough hours in the day for Feingold to do all that he needs to do.
There are so many appearances on Sunday news shows to make.
There's so much of Iowa to cover.
It takes an ironman.

Border Fence:
The U.S. Senate this week overwhelmingly voted to begin funding the 370-mile border fence and 500-mile vehicle barrier.
Feingold and 2 others voted against it.
Did the NYTT report that Feingold is against border security?

Feingold has lots of explaining to do.
