There's more! Imagine that!
I'm shocked!!!
Gee, I didn't see this coming.
As I said before, Brian Ross is really beginning to creep me out. The way that he's peddling this soft porn is so sleazy.
I thought the "Ick factor" was pretty bad before, but it gets worse.
Here's the latest.
This message was dated April 2003, at approximately 7 p.m., according to the message time stamp.

Is this some sort of experiment that ABC is conducting?
Is the network checking out how much traffic a lurid reality show posted on the Internet would generate?
You know the ABC News website has probably never had so many hits before.
Could this be ABC's way of circumventing TV network censors and standards? Is this an effort to get some enticing stuff up on its site, all in the name of news?
I am in no way excusing Foley's behavior; but this is beginning to look like the page was fishing for damning evidence to use against Foley.
Why did the teen take part in these exchanges? Why did he keep them? A romance to remember?
Mem'ries,
Light the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
This page seems more like a cop posing as a kid to trap an online predator than an innocent teen being abused by Foley.
I want to be clear. I'm not blaming the page. He was underage at the time. Foley is at fault here, but I am noting the kid's role. He was hardly a passive bystander.
We know that the Dems are hoping to demoralize the base. That's clear.
This obviously orchestrated release of messages documenting the misbehavior of Foley is being sounded as the death knell of the Republicans.
Do the Dems really think that the Religious Right will prefer to let pro-abortionists take over Congress?
I think that's a miscalculation.
The way ABC is releasing the information and the timing seem very suspect to me.
Remember, the teen's parents didn't want this to come out. They must be going absolutely nuts, unless they're hoping to sell their story and get a book deal.
In any case, there is no question that Foley is slimy. NO QUESTION.
However, I think at the end of all this, Brian Ross, ABC, and the Dems may be the one's with the sticky mess on their hands.

Mary, give Foley a break.......He was molested as a kid.
Had to see this one coming.
Tomorrow he's going to announce a priest sent him up in a UFO where they performed sexual experiments on him.......WHICH CAUSED HIM TO BECOME A PERV.
He really should get himself an ACLU lawyer to represent him.....Or a NAMBLA lawyer.
----------
That said, this will pass, and won't be the issue that gets the Republicans beat in November.
If they lose it will be because they've gotten stupid, and haven't fulfilled thier promises to the people.......They've become big Democrats-light. Which isn't good enough.
HAHAHAHA
You're right, Pero. Foley needs an ACLU lawyer.
Disclosing the priest story was a mistake. It so clearly is an effort to provide an excuse and paint Foley as a victim. He claims he's not shirking responsibility, but he is trying to offer an explanation. Poor Foley.
Too often, the Republicans have been Dem-lights.
I'm hoping that voters realize Republicans are the much better option than wild-eyed, ultra-liberal Dems.
