Presidential Wrist Bands

In 2004, Democrat presidential candidate John Kerry wore a "Live Strong" wrist band.

Was it something that a campaign adviser suggested he do? Did he support the cause or was it all about being trendy?

I don't know. I haven't noticed if he still wears it.

I doubt that Kerry is wearing any of this year's models in wrist band trends, such as the lovely "Barack Obama 2008." It would probably be too depressing.

You can buy ten of these for $15, 100 for $55, or you can buy 1000 for $450.

Expect to see George Clooney wearing one.

Not to be outdone by Obama, Hillary Clinton also has a wrist band.

Another observation--

Republican candidates are woefully behind in the wrist band business.

They don't seem to be interested in having their supporters wear silicone on their wrists, at least not yet.

Is that a good thing?
