Sponsors are abandoning John Kerry's pal Don Imus.
From The New York Times:
As the backlash against Don Imus grows, General Motors and American Express said today that they, too, will pull their advertisements from his program.
...On Tuesday, Staples said it had asked MSNBC to remove it from the show, and Procter & Gamble said it would temporarily suspend its advertising altogether from MSNBC.

There are many of us out here that are not loud mouths that bought products and services from the sponsors that ran off. We don't march and scream, but i have a feeling many of us will boycott them and leave them with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the crowd that follows them. Imus will get by and anybody that took his program serious has to be retarded, was just funny. They made comments about all races, religions and ethnic groups and anybody with half a brain took it as just funny. I will avoid CBS and MSNBC from now on. Better give some thought of the silent majority.
Are you saying that you will boycott the sponsors and the networks because they bailed on Imus?
I do think there could be a backlash.
I also think that this will all be forgotten as soon as the next outrage du jour comes along.
I will absolutely boycott the sponsors products. Rev Al is not the only person who can spend money. Imus promoted music, authors, politician and charities. Most humor makes fun of someone. Fat people and gays are fair game.
Money always seems to be the bottom line.
