UPDATE: Hillary wasn't actually a guest. She did a taped intro for David Letterman.
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton has also jumped into the late night game, appearing via satellite from Iowa to introduce Letterman's Late Show in a "cold opening" presented before the initial credits and Letterman's monologue.
"Dave has been off the air for eight long weeks because of the writers strike," Ms Clinton said, standing in front of campaign posters.
"Tonight he's back. Oh well, all good things must come to an end."
Of course, Hillary was joking, but I share those feelings completely.
I don't watch Letterman anymore. Too annoyingly lib for me.
And Letterman should lose the beard. It makes him look ten years older than he is.
Speaking of looking old, Hillary did not look good. And I wasn't watching on HD. She had some serious bags under her eyes. She must be exhausted.
______________
Hillary Clinton snaps her fingers and David Letterman obliges, giving her a previously unplanned guest spot on his show, the eve of the showdown in Iowa.
Some predictions:
She'll laugh and Letterman will laugh. Both will cackle annoyingly.
She'll smile and try to be likable. Letterman won't bother trying.
She'll probably say that she wouldn't cross a picket line like Mike Huckabee is doing to appear with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show.
She'll wear pants and so will Letterman.
