Fred Thompson's campaign is in trouble, BIG trouble.
When write-ins have a better showing, there's a serious problem.
If Thompson manages to get his campaign on track and really be a contender, it will be one of the most miraculous comebacks in American presidential political history.
I don't see that happening.

I've been lamenting that Fred has shown no vigor, no desire to be President. He seems to be "going for it" in South Carolina. Man I hope he busts out.
I think he has shown a desire to be president. It's just Thompson has a different style. It's foreign to what we've come to expect from candidates.
I think pundits and voters misinterpret his low key approach as a lack of interest.
Unfortunately, I do think it's over for Thompson.
