Michelle Obama Gets Weird

Michelle Obama has said some truly creepy stuff on the campaign trail.

A few weeks ago at UCLA, she had this to say:

Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.

She makes Barack sound more like a dictator than a public servant.

Making demands about what I have to do and what I have to shed doesn't sit very well with me.

"Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed."

Wasn't there a Twilight Zone episode like this?

You have to stay at the seat at the table of democracy with a man like Barack Obama not just on Tuesday but in a year from now, in four years from now, in eights years from now, you will have to be engaged.

Has the woman gone mad?

What kind of language is that?

Having a "seat at the table" and giving one's life to follow the messiah, in this case Obama, is imagery right out of the Bible.

Coming from Michelle, it's not inspiring language. It doesn't move me spiritually or encourage me to submit to Barack Obama's demands. It creeps me out.
