Milwaukee County Bus Driver Attacked

Ride the bus? No, thanks.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

A videotape released by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office shows Wednesday's attack on a Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver.

A man in the video got on the bus around N. 60th St. and W. Silver Spring Drive and repeatedly assaulted the driver, eventually causing the bus to crash into a tree.

Watch the video.

From TMJ4:

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department needs your help to find the man accused of attacking a bus driver during his route.

...Surveillance video from inside the Route 76 bus shows a man wearing a red shirt jump onto the bus and start violently punching the bus driver while the bus was in motion.

You can see the bus driver fighting the suspect off with one arm while trying to keep control of the bus.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff, at one point, the suspect tried to commandeer the bus.

"The suspect literally grabbed onto the steering wheel and used his foot to push down on the accelerator," said Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke. "I want this guy in custody. This is one of the most aggravated situations that I've ever seen."

The bus driver slammed into a small tree and the suspect ran off. There were eight passengers on board the bus. On the surveillance tape, you can hear the passengers yelling throughout the wild ride.

Sheriff Clarke is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect. He hopes someone will turn the guy in.

What a vicious thug!

Someone must be able to identify him.

The thug could have killed someone by attacking the driver as the bus was moving.

Obviously, the thug has no self-control, no conscience, and no sense of responsibility.

Are the people who know him just as bad?

If they don't turn him in, they are.
